Crawley Aikido Club was established in 1987. Aikido is a dynamic, practical and very effective self-defence sport for men and women. There are no attacks in Aikido, only defences which are practised to neutralise and control an attacker to render him harmless.
All students, women or men, small or large are taught defences against attacks including punches, strangulations, muggings and many others. Defences also extend to attacks with weapons. Ultimately the defences will become instinctive.
Aikido is a great way to get fit through aerobic training, it is also confidence building and stress reducing.
To teach the harmonious combination of physical means and ethical motives that lead to the 'way' of co-ordinating a student's powers of mind and body.
Training is at 19.00 every Friday at the K2 Leisure Centre, Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley, West Sussex
